There was someone in my junior high who was excited when he found out that my father was a welder. The kid wanted me to get him an acetylene torch so that he could crack a safe.
I actually saw this when it aired as an after school special. it has all the elements, self centered snooty cheerleaders vs unpopular kids, cept one unpopular kid's father was a movie star...
