Take a vibrant work, and give it arthritis by beating it over and over with stars and cash then beat it with more stars and cash. Some mid-to-high points here and there but, as stated, arthritically executed. They should've taken Van Sant director's license away after this one.....plus where'd he get Sissy's thumbs? Spencer gifts? One might add, all that was missing was Drew Barrymore!

I liked this movie. I thought it was interesting. Uma was great. And only a director such as Gus Van Sant could make this movie.
Loved the book, but the movie was boring. Love Van Sant, but he doesn't always make the best choices (cough Psycho).
I'm with Tommy. I never even finished the movie and that's a rarity with me.
