the safety ads here (Québec) are terrifying and graphic. for cars we see a father getting blindsided and dying at hospital while his family watches, for work accidents it's even worse... we see people ground up with only their hands left! They say they work and I believe it... i'm afraid to leave my house now!
This used to be a staple of Saturday morning TV, along with another public information film (that was probably the same length) about a boy who drowned in a canal ... the film then cut to some happy kids with 70s haircuts splashing about in a swimming bath while a voiceover delivered by someone who sounded like an undertaken informed you that learning to swim could save your life.
go on!get it!...lol Dave Prowse."I think I better have a word with those two.."
ReplyDeleteAmerican safety ads are so dull.
