R.I.P. Lou Jacobi

Read his NYT obit.

"Are transvestites homosexuals?"

My mother once asked a "gay" friend of mine the same question one Thanksgiving, but pronounced it "transvetite."

Met him in NYC in '78 in front of a deli. I said, "Lou Jacobi! I love ya!" He replied, "Dat's vonderful."
