He was the Chunky man when I was little, but also Top Cat fercrissakes. You all probably know more about him than I but if he was on the tube you knew hilarity would result. NYT Obit here
Arnold Stang, Brittany Murphy, Connie Hines, Gene Barry, Yvonne King, Jennifer Jones, Alaina Reed Hall--all doing their best to fuck up the end-of-year magazine deadlines.
Aww, heck. I'll always enjoy him in It's a Mad (4x) World - "Oiwin! We're gonna hafta KILL 'im!" Through the magic of internet radio I recently heard his PSA on STDs. Weird...
Okay, I also remember him fondly for his radio ads for 'Mini Mist' spray shampoo - they were in the form of phone calls where he was relentlessly asking a girl for a date and he plugged the product when her excuse for dumping him was 'having to wash her hair'.
And he played a lot of characters in the Famous Studios cartoons, including the geeky Shorty who made Popeye's life a living hell.
God, I love that pic w/Zsa Zsa. It was so weird, this post didn't show up before when I posted that other interview. My google home page is acting up. I loved him "The Man with the Golden Arm," - I once found a (sadly, silent, due to a faulty soundtrack) film of those Charles Atlas ads that you'd see in the back of Ring Magazines. Arnold was the guy who got sand kicked in his face.

Yes - "The Man With the Golden Arm" is a must-see motion picture. Arnold Stang playing Frank Sinatra's sidekick.
