Ed McMahon, born in our hometown of Lowell, MA, is the reason that Pantheon Zeus and I met. Every Friday in journalism class we had to pass a notebook around with ideas for articles. When the notebook got to me, I spotted "Toymaker to the King: A Profile of Ed McMahon" on the page. I couldn't believe my eyes! "Who wrote this?" I demanded - and the rest is history.
Let's see if PZ's little catchphrase - now in Ed's wiki - becomes part of his obit. HA!

I was sad to hear he had passed away. R.I.P.
He was the best sidekick ever on a talk show and seemed a nice guy as well. I am more sad his last years were spent trying to pay medical bills.
