He was with his (only)wife who was his high school sweet heart. We had a nice chat after his show.
I told him I had seen him in Dick Clarks rock n roll revival at the Tropworld Casino in N.J.
and described to him from my audiance point of view how the croud of 5000 went nuts when he sang and danced the Bye Bye birde hit song.
His wife Carmella told me he had just come out of back surgery 6 weeks earlier.
He still tours with Frankie Avalon and Fabian. Go see then when you can.
They are lots of fun. I am glad they still do the shows.
VinceAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6134892074202905358.post-15393314909766270552009-07-04T12:43:18.207-04:002009-07-04T12:43:18.207-04:00Free beach? My grandparents and their siblings had apartments overlooking the boardwalk since the 1920s, and my sister and I spent time there in the '60s, when that era was still alive. The wax museums, dinner clubs, amusement-park piers, Edwardian hotels, all gone now. Steel Pier and Million-Dollar Pier are shopping malls now!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06054242491852844573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6134892074202905358.post-55139977910181624092009-07-04T10:05:21.777-04:002009-07-04T10:05:21.777-04:00Wildwood is the place for neon. Once, there were a few hookers on their day off, with a cooler of beer at the train station in Newark. It made for an interesting ride.Donna Lethalhttp://donnalethal.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6134892074202905358.post-55356532210970579322009-07-03T22:41:16.245-04:002009-07-03T22:41:16.245-04:00Ah, Wahlwood, "where the goys are."
