The Wolf Man!

You can keep your vampires, kiddies - I've always been a Larry Talbot kinda gal. When I heard Benicio was going to play him, I could barely contain myself! We'll still have to wait until February, but at least the trailer is out, and it looks gloriously cheesy:

Here's the original, as a refresher:

Oooh, LARRY Talbot. I got all het-up thinking about LYLE Talbot. *sigh* I don't care if--as Mel says--"he has a head shaped like a Raisinet." Ah loves him.

Sorry, hon. Maybe someday someone will make "The Lyle Talbot Story" JUST for you.

good ol' WOOF man!...They've been tinkering with this new one for years now..Sure hope its as good as the Trailer looks..we haven't had a real gothic MONSTER movie in a good while..

uh oh - Universal goes back to their Van Helsing trough? They made more overseas with that one.

The visuals look okay and Geraldine Chaplin as the gypsy is promising...she better recite "beware the moon when the wolfbane blooms..." folk poem.

Oh, is that who that is? No one can do Maria Ouspenskaya justice in my book, but I sure hope she comes close.

I can't wait. I actually hope it's great, does well and lets us see some traditional gothic and break this horrible torrure phase horror films are in

Im out on this one.. I was hoping they finally got the hint and decided to bring the Universal pictures back to their practical FX roots.. Wrong.. I really, really hope I misjudged the trailer, because I want nothing more than for this film to be awesome..

looks like the best scenes will take place in those quieter fog shrouded, moonlit moments...
